ENG091 Preparatory Academic Writing III (Sec. #19003)

Preparation for first-year college writing. Understanding expectations and the writing process. WritePlacer® Score of 3 or 4 is required.

ENG101 First-Year Composition (Sec. #19004)
Tues & Thurs 2:15-3:30 p.m.
1/16/19-5/10/19

Emphasis on rhetoric and composition, and the writing process. Establish college-level writing strategies. WritePlacer® Score of 5 or higher or passing grade in ENG091 is required.

CRW202 - The Writer as Witness (Sec. #34661)
Wed 4:30-7 p.m.
1/16/19-5/10/19

Studio course focusing on writing with the writer as witness of the world: pre-writing, writing, analysis, evaluation, and writing. A grade of C or better in CRW150 or permission of Instructor.


WRITING PLACEMENT
Students interested in attending ENG091 or ENG101 are able to take the WritePlacer® college writing placement at SCC. WritePlacer prep is available and recommended. 

WHY YOU NEED TO ENROLL

  • Earn credit from Scottsdale Community College. All credit is transferable to any Maricopa Community College. ENG101 & CRW202 are transferable to ASU.
  • Each class earns 3 SCC college credit hours upon successful completion.
  • Classes will be held in the Salt River Schools ABE/GED Classroom at the Accelerated Learning Academy (South Campus).
  • Great opportunity to become acclimated to college coursework and earn college credit!
